The winger has been doing overtime to get a place in Garry Monk's starting XI and has no intention of slowing down after opening the scoring in the 3-0 Capital One Cup victory over York City on Tuesday.
"I've been working really hard throughout pre-season to get back into the first team," said Dyer.
"I have been working closely with (coach) James Beattie, so it was great to get on the scoresheet.
Swansea have been drawn against Hull City in Round Three of the League Cup and Dyer knows it is an opportunity to shine.
"I just want to prove I can get back to my best and push for a start," he said.
